Upstart Bar FZ-LLC is accredited by The CPD Standards Office (CPDSO), the independent body that assesses and accredits Continuing Professional Development (CPD) learning. This page sets out the details of our accreditation and the value it brings to the organisations and professionals we train.

The Trio Accreditation

Upstart Bar holds the Trio Accreditation from The CPD Standards Office. The Trio Accreditation recognises training providers that have been independently assessed against three distinct standards, each covering a separate pillar of training quality.

Together, the three pillars address the accreditation of our learning activities, the governance of artificial intelligence in our training, and the quality of the complete learner experience. Each pillar is described below.

Pillar 01

CPD Accreditation

Upstart Bar is an Accredited Provider with The CPD Standards Office. Our training activities have passed CPDSO's assessment process, which examines course content, instructors, supporting documents and delivery processes.

The CPDSO assessor approved our learning activities for accreditation with no changes required.

As an Accredited Provider, Upstart Bar issues official CPD certificates to delegates who complete an accredited activity.

CPDSO3023 AI in Training Standard

CPDSO3023 is the independent governance framework built specifically for training. It demonstrates to learners, clients, regulators and boards that artificial intelligence is used responsibly in the design, delivery and assessment of learning.

Six pillars, weighted to protect learners and their data

Transparency. How the use of AI is disclosed to learners and clients.
Accuracy and reliability. Expert human review of AI-assisted content.
Ethics and bias mitigation. Checks for bias and fairness in content and outputs.
Data protection and privacy. Protection of learner data in any AI tool.
Human oversight. Access to human support and trainer intervention.
Learner safeguarding. Safeguarding that extends to interactions with AI.

Assessment outcome

Assessed on 2 October 2026 and rated green in all six pillars. Certificate number CPDSO-2026-042, valid October 2026 to October 2027.

Award and renewal

The standard is open only to providers already accredited by CPDSO. It is awarded only where every pillar is rated green, and compliance is declared each year.

Pillar 03

Provider of Training Excellence

The Provider of Training Excellence (PTE) accreditation recognises professional training and learning providers that offer high-quality training provision. It is recognised by the Professional Development Consortium, the research organisation that is also home to The CPD Standards Office.

How it is assessed

The assessment follows the delegate's learning experience from first contact with the provider through to completion and follow-up. Its criteria reflect best practice in adult learning, drawn from practical and academic research, and are overseen by an Expert Advisory Board.

What CPD Includes

Continuing Professional Development is the intentional development of knowledge and skills to remain current and to fulfil professional responsibilities to the highest standard. Many professional bodies require it, and employers increasingly expect it of their staff.

Each of our accredited programs states its CPD hours, and the same figure appears on the delegate's certificate.

The CPD Certificate

Delegates receive an Official CPD Certificate on completion.

The certificate records the delegate's name, the accredited activity, the dates and location of delivery, the CPD hours earned and our CPD provider number, 51209.

It also includes a learning reflection tool, so delegates can record what they learned and how they will apply it in their role.

Accredited CPD can be recorded by any professional.

Delegates do not need to be registered with a professional body or regulator to record their professional development.

The CPD Standards Office notes that formal CPD is recognised internationally and across sectors, and that accredited learning supports both mandatory and reflective CPD requirements.

All 8 Upstart Bar training programs are accredited by The CPD Standards Office. Each program is accredited as a whole, and each of its modules is accredited as a learning activity in its own right.
